I went to an opera production here in Baltimore last week by a DC-based company, where one of their regular performers -- a beautiful young woman with a beautiful, glorious voice -- has clearly had her breasts chopped off and now goes by a male name. Her bio in the program refers to "he," "him," "his."
It was wonderful hearing her voice and sad and tragic seeing the scars on her body, which were quite evident. She is obviously a woman. There's no question about it.
As I've said till I'm blue in the face, if you're an adult and you want to do whatever you want to do to your body, have at it. It's none of my business (even if I think mental illness is involved). It's your body. But nobody has the right to do this to children. It's the most outrageous medical scandal of my lifetime.
P. S. Just had a gentle, fact-based text conversation about this whole subject this morning with a gay friend of mine. He's in his early 70s, old guard, yet he became angry with me and told me he doesn't want to discuss it further. He has drunk the Kool-Aid. There's nothing more I can do. It's so sad how people have been captured by this mass delusion.
Yes, and I do think one-on-one conversations can help - albeit not always, and not necessarily in the moment. Keep up the good work, Lisa, on many fronts.
Love this. Her words will one day help my daughter b/c I will eventually find ways to say them to her. I do share them with my uninformed friends. So simple. It is so simple. So simply wrong. I adore Chloe.
You parents are right there on the front lines. Hang in there. It must be tough.Yes, maybe your daughter will hear you or maybe she’ll hear this perspective from somebody else. That’s one of my goals: to change the narrative and provide other information to people who are only seeing one side.
Brava, Chloe! And brava, Mariah!

Loved this. I have restacked. Thanks to both of you!
Hi Susan, thank you! Chloe is an amazing young woman, and the perfect spokesperson for the dangers of gender ideology.
