Oh my God I just read each and every comment here I can’t even lie. I’m so emotional because I’m so grateful for your support and I will not stop fighting for women. Yeah I’ve been through a lot of different emotions over the last five or six weeks but the one that stayed is the one that is disgusted with the current state of law for women’s safety and just everything that has to do with these men who wear dresses and I will not stop fighting. I do ask that you guys support me by purchasing my song bad vibes. You can pay whatever you want for it, but that keeps me just alive and able to keep going while I do what I’m trying to do which has changed the laws surrounding women’s rights and be a really helpful person in this spite thank you so much again everybody

FRIENDS! Please support Tish Hyman to continue to make a living as an artist so she'll have energy to continue supporting girls and women in her unique and powerful and poetic way. Here's a link to her latest song. Price? Pay What You Want. How's that for a deal. Just bought it myself. You can also send it as a gift. She is asking for this one small thing in return for her helping us preserve women's sports and spaces.

Let's flood her with love and appreciation! https://www.even.biz/p/bad-vibes-bv

And to Tish: Welcome to Substack. So glad you're touched by the story and comments. There's more where this came from. :-)

Bad Vibes is not just any song in Tish's collection. It's specifically about keeping males out of women's spaces, and features quotes by little girls, psychologist Amy E. Sousa (https://x.com/KnownHeretic), a more. And a catchy tune. Gemini says Tish Hyman is "is a talented American singer-songwriter known for soulful, honest music often touching on complex emotions."

Every woman who defends this behavior needs to be personally physically threatened or assaulted by a man in a women's restroom or locker room. Because only then will such women get it through their heads what's at stake.

Just watched the clips you link to again, so awesome. Thanks for putting it all together.

Awesome indeed. And they keep coming.

I'm so glad that Tish Hyman's gym encounter is being shared again and again! She's so strong, courageous, and vocal. Thanks for sharing her story. In this video she is super smart and composed when confronting a local senator:

Tish is the goddess I believe we needed to see stand up. For me, it’s almost like watching gay and lesbian civil war that some predicted would come to pass to end this nonsense in a battle of the sexes stand off.

What’s not being talked about much is the fact she’s an out lesbian. She’s clearly built like an Amazon warrior, she’s beautiful, she’s uber cool and she’s obviously Black. She takes on an openly gay male politician who is apparently Jewish and visibly white. She doesn’t hesitate to drop f bombs as she speaks truthfully and honestly from the heart and she refuses to back down. She resonates with most people as she shows her vulnerability, her fears and concerns and her strength.

The stunned bunny looks of bystanders doesn’t surprise me. Wtf is going to take her on and call her a homophobic or transphobic hateful bigot? Not gay men, in my view, and especially not white gay men even though they try to shut her down and silence her with their predictable TWAW chants.

She does an epic move: she thanks him for what good work she recognizes he has done, she refuses to listen to the nonsense or his posturing and she walks out. But not before she addresses a Black female bystander.

She’s a class act. I 🙇‍♀️ to Tish Hyman’s strength and courage.

Could not agree more. Let's continue to do everything we can to support her and lift her up.

Last night, Tish Hyman, charismatic new star of the modern feminist, female-only sports-and-spaces movement, attended a Town Hall with CA Senator Weiner. For three minutes, the two of them talked and argued, and when the crowd tried to shout her down with "Trans women are women," she stood, faced them, essentially told them to shut up, and it worked! Who else has that sort of personal power? If you're a Tish Hyman fan, you've gotta see this video too. Thanks Sasha Aguilar, who attended the meeting & met Tish.

Scott Weiner is such a woman-hating tool.

Thanks for putting all this together, and to Tish ofc for standing up for herself, for women, for sanity, for lots of things.

I would just like to say that I think I speak for most men when I say there's nothing manly about not giving a F what women feel. I'm sure Tish meant it when she said it, but I look at a man like Freeman and I don't see either a woman or a manly man, just a coward who can't handle being told No.

This is excellent, Mariah! I have restacked.

It is continually astonishing to me (even though I know it shouldn’t be) that what Tish Hyman experienced remains invisible to so many. Brava to Tish, and to the many, many others who have called this out, including you, Mariah❤️. So grateful to all🙏🙏🙏. I am, though, a bit miffed at Riley’s statement. Each of us stands on the shoulders of the women who came before us in this fight. Riley wasn’t even alive when Title IX was passed, which was also when so many, many women fought hard to achieve not only that, but a huge number of rights and protections for women and girls, going way, way back before 2020.

Interesting. I hear ya -- but I read it more narrowly, as, "Maybe my generation of young women who started speaking up about locker room violations in the early 2020s should have been as assertive and demanding as Tish."

Mac's avatar

Somebody mentioned Tish was ok with “transsexual” men because her brother is transsexual. Is this true or misinformation?

Mariah Burton Nelson's avatar

She started out proposing transsexual rather than trans woman & trans man but listened to lots of ppl who have been thinking about this longer & gratefully (publicly thanking them) came around to two sexes, period. Her sister, in prison, is in some sort of transition.

Mac's avatar

Thank you. I’m impressed by her intellectual humility and willingness to listen and learn. I’m relieved to hear this. I understand, having started COMPLETELY on the other side of this issue and slowly coming around after reading Joyce, Stock, Dansky, etc, and listening to Gender: A Wider Lens. It’s a lot to take in.

Mariah Burton Nelson's avatar

Yes. A very quick study.

Says it can’t be opened. Might be my internet, but didn’t want to assume. I assume they are censoring.

Mariah Burton Nelson's avatar

Oh darn. Good to know. Thanks for reporting. It may be fixable via your settings, if you're filtering out "questionable content" -- which might censor not only curse words but "men cannot be women" - type truths, alas. LMK if you want me to try screenshots or something else less detectable? - via email or something. It's a good story and sorry to have you - or others - miss it.

“Straight women like to see dick so they’re probably looking at me not you”…. Spoken like a true woman! Seriously, who are these men trying to kid?

Mariah Burton Nelson's avatar

I know. Hilarious if it weren't so serious.
