I do not support those who campaign for war criminals. I am totally opposed to transgenderism, but it pales in comparison to the mass murder of Libyans. Apparently the author of this piece thinks open slave markets are just fine.
"Bethany Zecher Sutton, Chair of the Arlington School Board, has been a prominent figure in defending Arlington Public Schools' (APS) transgender student policies."
Arlington is an overwhelmingly Democratic area.
Can a Democrat who wants to keep men out of women's locker rooms be electorally successful?
Yes. I pleaded with Abigail Spanberger to reconsider her support for males in female sports and spaces, invited her to meet, etc -- as did many others. Her Repub opponent did everything possible to educate voters and beg them to support girls and women. Yet Spanberger became VA's next Governor. We're stuck. (I've also met with the School Board and County Board, also to no avail.)
Brava, brava, Mariah. Thank you for re-posting this! The DWC survey offers a not-to-be missed opportunity for women who know we are women and that no men are women to make ourselves heard. I'd like also to offer Jenny Poyer Ackerman's powerful and poignant submission for additional inspiration: https://substack.com/home/post/p-179665224 In addition, if you want to know whether your own Member of Congress signed on to the Hecox brief so you can give the MoC a piece of mind, a team at DIAG (of which I am a part), put together a call to action that identifies every single one of them with hyperlinks to their contact forms here: https://diagdemocrats.substack.com/p/call-to-action-for-democrats-let
In 2026 and 2028, people who can't stand Trump will desperately vote Democrats back into power. Women's rights advocates like those found here on Substack will be encouraging everyone to vote for Dems again. Even a hint of supporting our right to keep males out of female sports will make authors jump on the Blue No Matter Who bandwagon again. People have short memories when it comes to politics. Look how many women last spring supported the idea of Gavin Newsom running for president when he casually stated it's unfair to allow “transgirls” in girls sports. He couldn't even bring himself to call them male athletes. By the way, as governor of CA, has he removed males from female sports? Nope. Has he removed male rapists from female prisons? No again. How about getting men out of female showers?
No, Gov Newsom has taken no action to restore female rights in his state. He'll do nothing. It's all just lies to test the water and see how many desperate Democrats will send him money if he pretends there's a chance Democrats will mend their ways and restore our rights. But Dem voters are like abused spouses, dutifully lining up to hear the words of contrition that will give them a reason to come back and support their oppressors again. “C'mon honey, I promise to not punch you again...”
Democrats will continue to betray women and girls as long as transitioning profiteers bankroll their campaigns. They need to push for males in female sports, showers, bathrooms and prisons because it promotes and maintains the false hope that humans can actually change sex. In reality, a person can only mimic the opposite sex. Democrats, liberals and progressives are willing to demand 50% of the population lose our rights, including the female category in athletics and our rights to privacy, safety and dignity in female spaces where we are vulnerable. Democrats even force lesbians to accept men legally entering lesbian spaces and invading our dating apps. Just try to keep males out of a lesbian club on a blue state campus.. They'll shut you down hard. Why must they continue to promote gender ideology? Because the transitioning profiteers can only increase their profits by convincing even more young people to sterilize themselves with sex mimicry. Backed by powerful lgbTQIA2S+P groups, public money continues to flood into the pockets of transitioning profiteers with a kickback to Democratic candidates.
Corruption is nothing new in politics. Both Dems and Repubs have given us perpetual wars for profit for decades. Both sides enrich the wealthy at the expense of working and middle class Americans who foot not just wars but Big Pharma and the massively wealthy medical industry. The redirection of surgeons into the transitioning industry means fewer doctors, mental health professionals and surgeons are available to provide actual medical treatments for the rest of us. Sex mimicry surgeries and hormones are just the most recent slap-in-the-face as we are forced to pay for free fake boobs on male chests. Not to mention the damage to our children convinced to take puberty blockers. The cost to society of all those young people who are prevented from going through brain maturation that occurs during puberty will be enormous when they are adult voters with childlike brains.
Rich, powerful people gain more than money from us when they deem elective surgeries to be “life saving medicine” that needs to be paid for by everyone else. They also force us to fight against each other for a couple of decades. That's far fewer people paying attention to the next war for profit or tax break for the rich. The uniparty of Dems and Repubs thrives in times like this. They know we'll bounce back and forth between the two parties for many more years, as we have for decades. Are you one of those people desperately waiting for your abusers to claim they support women's rights again so you can give them your money and your vote? DIAG supporters, for instance. Or have you had enough of the uniparty and are ready to build something else that represents us instead?
I think what DIAG is trying to do is to make a space in the Democratic "tent" for people who oppose the gender idiocy, trying to show that plenty of people oppose this crap and want to return to normalcy *and* they're not right wing, they're Democrats. We need to do something about how our side is constantly being "right-coded". Speaking for myself, a Californian and a registered Dem, I will NOT be voting for a Democrat in the governor's race next fall because none of the candidates have changed course on this stuff and show no signs of doing so.
I think you're right about what DIAG is trying to do, and kudos to them for trying to enlighten elected Democrats. In my opinion, Trump is in office because voting for Democrats has become untenable. They broke the border, putting working class black and other citizens out of work, they delivered yet another expensive war, they ensured the wealthy get richer at the expense of workers and of course we know how they destroyed women's rights and our children's mental and physical health. All of which can be understood if we follow the money.
The problem is that we have allowed Democrats to become corrupt (taking money from transitioning profiteers, war profiteers, etc). Why would they change their ways when they're flush with money and they can just play us against the worst Republicans. “Not Trump” is a very low bar but it'll work next year and in 2028.
Worse, we can't get groups like DIAG and other Democratic organizations to use the power of our combined vote to demand elected Dems work on our behalf. It's great that DIAG is educating politicians about how many of us don't agree with their policies, but they will never encourage other voters to stop giving away their vote. Many of their supporters are desperate to vote Dem again. In the end, when Dem politicians lie about supporting women's rights again, groups like DIAG will encourage voting blue no matter what they do.
If DIAG would instead use its power to encourage people to refuse to vote for Democrats, we could effect change. As they are now, they're just another barrier to reclaiming our constitutional authority over our government.

There seems to be no effective opposition within the Democratic Party to transgenderism.

Can a Democrat who wants to keep men out of women's locker rooms be electorally successful?
Not in recent history.
Remarkable.
Spanberger and her ilk won't change until they get punished at the ballot box for supporting trans ideology.
Yes. I pleaded with Abigail Spanberger to reconsider her support for males in female sports and spaces, invited her to meet, etc -- as did many others. Yes, love that DIAG resource and Jenny's submission too. Thanks!
