He actually did try to argue that his case had no future merit in being heard because he, personally, quit women's sports so the outcome would be immaterial to him.
Legal interpreters have told me it’s because the tides have shifted and they no longer think they’ll win that case. Would be worse for them if they lose than if they’re allowed to withdraw it.
I propose a pre-hearing boxing match, Chase Strangio vs. Fallon Fox! Sure, why not?! They are about the same size and Chase is a "man" and Fallon is a "woman" right? That should even things out as far as training and experience. Can we get a fundraiser to see this happen? I'm sure one or both of them needs money for their next surgery.
Yes, when I first heard about BPJ they were saying stuff like "Oh, she's so slow! She just wants to have fun with the other girls, and she's no threat to anyone!" Then it turns out that BPJ is destroying girls much older than him in throwing events, and harassing girls in the locker room too. These people will say anything to get their trans-utopian dream, they don't care who gets hurt.
I did not notice this in the amicus briefs I read, but I too hope the Justices are aware, one way or another. Yes, Becky Pepper Jackson has been accused by a teammate, under oath, of sexual harassment, including "Suck my d**k" - not exactly what women say to each other in the locker room, is it?
Lawyers for the Alliance Defense Fund. Yes, conservative, anti-abortion, generally anti-woman, apparently - but they agree with us on this and have the financial resources we grassroots Democrats lack. So we're teaming up. Bipartisanship in action.
Alliance Defending Freedom was formerly known as Alliance Defense Fund. I do not see it as “generally anti-woman’ but as an organization committed to “protecting religious freedom, free speech….” as stated on their website: https://adfmedia.org/about-us/
I admire your commitment to protecting women—we can agree to disagree about some issues and loyalties.
Hi Mary, I’ve returned to modify my characterization. Anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage. And yes, agreeing to disagree about some issues and loyalties is key to coalition work - as is civil discourse, and I very much appreciate how much that happens here on Substack. Thanks again.
Whisper in a justice’s ear that US businesses must maintain verifiably sex segregated restrooms or they violate EEOC (hostile environments) and OSHA (unsafe environment).
That will set tongues a-waggin’ and scare the living daylights out of everyone.
Thank you for pointing out that they are covering women having to compete and practice through menstruation in this lawsuit. I've rarely seen that mentioned and is one of many obvious male bodied advantages over female bodied in sports.
I hope so. Hard to predict what will come up in the brief oral arguments. YES, an oddly overlooked reality of womanhood. Here's a link to my recent article on that subject in case some missed it.
I have restacked the hell out of this, the whole thing, plus numerous pull-quotes.
I hope everyone who stands for women's and girls' rights will join us on the steps of the Supreme Court on Tuesday, January 13th. And fuck all the "trans allies"!
Such impressive preparation! And the gender non conforming hat complete with image! Oh I wish I could’ there instead of warm and wet Sydney. May the case proceed to its logical conclusion so that girls’ rights and safety can be restored. 💚🤍💜
Great! There have been so many "this could be a turning point" moments. (Lia Thomas, the male boxers who won Olympic gold medals in the women's category, etc.) Maybe they all are; it's just a slower-than-we'd like revolution, so to speak, of that wheel.
Ha - it's denial, one step at a time. First, the rule was: If they cut off their testicles, THEN they can compete as women. But not many want to do that.
So officials said, No problem, just lower your testosterone to 10 n/ml. But that's twice as much as women ever have, so we cried foul.
Then: 5 n/ml. Then 2.5. Whoops - those guys still retain height, bigger hands, bigger lungs, bigger hearts, etc.
Then: okay, but if we block puberty... still bogus. Joanna Harper, the trans-ID physician I mention in the story, now admits that men retain performance advantages regardless, but says he himself "would never compete against other men." Note the word "other." They know they're men and just really really want to compete against, and defeat, women. Not our problem.
I'll be there! Bought my Amtrak ticket Tuesday!
So glad to meet you!
What a lovely thing to say! Thank you and likewise, of course!
Hecox petitioned to have the case removed from the Supreme Court's schedule. https://www.scotusblog.com/2025/09/lindsay-hecox-asks-supreme-court-to-drop-sports-case/

Incredible stuff.
He just doesn't want a ruling.
I like your concise answer better. 😂
Legal interpreters have told me it’s because the tides have shifted and they no longer think they’ll win that case. Would be worse for them if they lose than if they’re allowed to withdraw it.
Play stupid games!
Yes to the trapper hat! Don't forget the scarf and gloves too!

IDC WHO kicks his ass as long as it happens...
If you mean Chase I’m pretty certain that Fox would beat the crap out of Strangio. I also would LOVE to see that!!
Love this!
No idea if any of this has made it to the Supreme Court, but: https://reduxx.info/west-virginia-teen-track-athlete-alleges-ongoing-sexual-harassment-from-trans-identified-male-teammate/

Yes, the TRAs are fond of "SMD." Buddy, I have 3 teeth left. Two are broken. Bring it, Pussyboy.
The broad coalition also include ROAR Women NYC. Small as we are, fierce as the opposition in our city is, we still stand up for women and girls!
Ooh, sorry for the oversight. Small is powerful, and I'm well aware of your important work. Fixed the text. Thanks!
Oh, that one's definitely on me—but I'll see you there!
Who is arguing for our side?

I'm not a purist on this one--I just hope they are good (Constitutional and civil rights) lawyers.
Good stuff. Sorry I'll likely miss your X space (but have a good excuse -- we'll be hassling Gavin in Sac that day). Onward to DC!
Yay, can't wait to see you soon. Keep up the great work with Women Are Real. Y'all are so creative and persistent.
Great essay! Thank you.
And I wish I could join you in DC.
Thanks, RNPhalarope!
Thank you very much for this. Super simple and helpful.
Great! Thanks for letting me know.

Brilliant!

Thank you, Mariah!

If they get scary, I'm going to stand behind you because you're tougher than I am. :-)
Such impressive preparation! And the gender non conforming hat complete with image! Oh I wish I could’ there instead of warm and wet Sydney. May the case proceed to its logical conclusion so that girls’ rights and safety can be restored. 💚🤍💜
:-) Thanks, Viviane! We feel that support coming all the way from Sydney.
Hats DO work. I’ll be with you all in spirit. I want to believe this one is a slam-dunk…
Thank you for this list! I wish I could be there! But I’ll be listening and supporting where I can.

Do they think "no physical advantage" also means that women who allow themselves to battered and raped just "didn't try hard enough" to get away?
